After 20 years the We Change Polish Industry forum is changing its form. From now on the forum is going to function as a prestigious, cyclical event preceding the European Economic Congress. Under the new name - EEC Trends - goes a preparation for the EEC, the largest business meeting in this part of Europe. The first edition begins on 25 February, 2020, in the Sheraton Hotel in Warsaw.
The main purpose of EEC Trends is to propagate the idea of an open debate about the future of the economy and support for positive changes in its key sectors. During the event entrepreneurs, experts, decision makers will cooperate to promote grand ideas, trends, best practices and technologies.
An alternative to traditional forums and congresses in terms of organization, EEC Trends offers its audience and participants a new kind of experience. The event will include a variety of dynamic forms - discussions, meetings, debates and presentations - categorized in accordance with particular trends.
EEC Trends will serve as an opportunity to identify key trends shaping the future of the economy.
Participants will debate about the current economic situation and what to expect from the world economy. Signs and consequences of a potential economic downturn are also on the agenda. We will try to answer the following questions: how to respond? How to survive? How to prepare for a slowdown? How to minimize losses and mitigate risks?
We will also discuss technologies. We will try to determine the progress of the Polish economy on its way to modernity. We will indicate criteria which the Polish economy has to meet in order to reach a higher level - digitalisation, the technology of Industry 4.0, innovation, creativity, and the application of knowledge in business.
The subject of ecology will not be omitted. Discussions will revolve around the place of sustainable development in companies’ strategies and technologies, the concept of zero waste and circular economy. Other important matters will include the transition of traditional energy technologies to renewable technologies as well as the prevention of climate change and improvement of air quality.
We will also talk about the potential and perspectives for the growth of champions - large Polish companies operating on the European and global market.
Last but not least, we will focus on investments. We will address numerous issues such as what to do in order to increase foreign and domestic investment and what criteria need to be met in order to reach the assumed level of investment in the Polish economy.
