Managing Director of BASF Polska since August 2015. A German native, he received education in Business Management at the University of Applied Sciences
in Ludwigshafen and at the University of North Carolina. Gietl began his career at BASF
in 2000 as a Marketing Analyst Styrenic Polymers Europe in the company’s headquarter
in Ludwigshafen. Later he held various positions such as Head of Crop Protection Portugal (2004-2007) and Staff to Division President (2008-2010). In 2010, Gietl was delegated to Brazil and appointed Director Performance Chemicals South America. Since 2013 he held the position of Vice President of Decorative Coatings Solutions South America in São Paulo.
