Danijel Krakić graduated from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences in Zagreb. Following his studies, he held several responsibilities at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, where he worked as an Adviser from 1998 to 2008.. He was appointed Director of the Directorate for Railway Traffic from 2008 until 2011. Between 2011 and 2013, he acted as Head of the Railway Sector. From 2008 until 2011, Danijel Krakić was also involved as HZ Holding and HZ Cargo Supervisory Board President. Since 2013, he has been the President of HŽ Cargo Management Board.
