JERZY WERLE – Warbud S.A.’s Chairman and Director General. Completed Warsaw University of Technology and Graduate School of Business SEP 2006 at Stanford University in California. After graduating from the Sanitary Engineering Faculty in 1983 (specializing in Water Construction) he gained engineering experience on the construction site of a water intake station for the City of Warsaw in Wieliszewo and then the Wilanowska station of the Warsaw Metro. He worked for five years as Technical Director of Domy Phenix, a company building steel-framed houses. The firm was owned by Generale des Eaux, one of the world’s largest holding companies in the construction sector. Since 1995 he supervised construction projects for Warbud SA. As Production Director he managed preparations for production, development of construction technology used for project execution and the construction of buildings and structures such as the pylon of the Swietokrzyski Bridge in Warsaw, the Sucharskiego Bridge in Gdansk, the Siekierkowski Bridge as well as the Czerniakowska Junction in Warsaw and the Obornicka road viaduct in Poznan. On 1 January 2005 he was appointed Warbud S.A.'s Director General. Since 2012 he held the function of Vice Chairman of the firm’s Management Board. On 29 February 2016 he was appointed the company's Chairman. Mr. Werle has received a badge of honour "For merits for the construction industry" from the Ministry of Construction. For the design of the construction technology for the Siekierkowski Bridge, he and his team received the following awards: From the Minister of Infrastructure for achievements in the field of architecture and construction and from the Polish Engineering Association NOT - for his achievements in the field of technology.
