Krzysztof Rabiański – CEO of Empik Media & Fashion He has many years of experience in corporate management in Poland and abroad. He began his professional career at Pepsico Foods / Frito Lay. From 1999 to 2003 he worked for Pilkington Group as the Chief Financial Officer and a Member of the Management Board. From 2003 to 2006, he was the President of the Management Board and Regional Financial Officer for Scandinavia and the Baltic’s within Pilkington Group, where he was responsible for increasing sales revenues and EBITDA in this region, as well as ensuring synergies between the particular business units. In 2006 he was appointed Financial Director and Vice President of the Management Board of Żywiec Zdrój S.A., a company from Danone Group. His objective was to support the process of building market share and strong FMCG brand in local market, as well as development of production capacity for the rapidly growing brand. From 2011 to 2014 Krzysztof Rabiański was Vice President at Polpharma Group. During this period, within his competences in a finance area, he was responsible for ensuring a dynamic growth of the group through expansion into new markets, numerous acquisitions and development of the product offer. During this period, the company doubled its EBITDA. Polpharma is today a regional leader in production and sale of RX / OTC drugs. From 2014 to present - CEO of Empik Media & Fashion Group, responsible for targeted development of particular assets and business lines. The most important, out of many challenges, was to ensure a stable financing for the Group for the coming years, to develop a remedial program through implementation of fundamental restructuring strategy, combined with value creation of particular assets. As a result of these activities the company conducted one of the largest M&A transactions in the region in 2016 – a disposal of Smyk Group to Bridgepoint fund. Krzysztof Rabiański graduated from Wroclaw University of Economics and Warsaw School of Economics. He also holds a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance under ACCA program.
