Mariusz Caliński is a graduate of Poznań University of Economics, Finance and Banking Faculty. He also completed postgraduate studies in Accounting at Poznan School of Banking. He has held the position of the President of Grupa DUON S.A. (formerly CP Energia S.A.) since 2011. He has been involved in the gas market and Grupa DUON since 2008, when he took over the position of CEO and then of a President of Management Board at KRI (DUON Dystrybucja S.A.). He is responsible for areas related to strategic management, development and communications. Before that he worked i.a.: at Forte Sweden Sp. z o.o. (1999-2004), since 2001 as Chief Financial Officer, and at Sulzer Chemtech Polska Sp. z o.o. (2004-2008), a company owned by Swiss concern Sulzer A.G., since 2007 as President of the Management Board, CEO.
