Graduate of the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw, PhD in Astrophysics. Mirosław Panek has years of experience working in asset management institutions on the capital market. He is a licensed securities broker, investment advisor and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA ). For many years, he has conducted corporate supervision pertaining to the finances of companies from various sectors of the economy. Since 1994, he has worked in capital market institutions: Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. (Capital Operations Centre), ABN AMRO Asset Management (Polska) S.A. (member of the management board), ING Investment Management (Polska) S.A. (CIO, president of the management board), ING TFI S.A. (president of the management board), and Opera TFI S.A. From 2006-2007, he was a member of the management board of PZU S.A. Since 2009, he has been an independent member of the supervisory boards of the following companies: ATM S.A., Mostostal Zabrze S.A. and Vistula Group S.A., since 2010 Mennica Polska S.A., since 2011 Protektor S.A., and from 2012 Atende S.A. and Mennica Polska od 1766 Sp. z o.o. In some of these, he acted as chairman of the board and chairman of the audit committee. He was also a member of the Board of Examiners for Investment Advisors at Polish Securities and Exchanges Commission (1994-97), vice chairman of the board of the Chamber of Fund and Asset Management (2005-2006), a member of the supervisory board of PHF S.A. (2006-2007), chairman of the supervisory board of PZU Asset Management S.A. (2006-2007), and since 2004 has been a member of the board of The KARTA Center Foundation.
