Slawek Muturi – half-Polish half-Kenyan who currently resides in Warsaw, Poland. Alumni of Warsaw Business School (M.Sc. Econ), Warsaw University (LL.M.) and London Business School (MBA). Until recently, a management consulting partner with Andersen and Deloitte Central Europe. In paralel to his professional career, Slawek started (in 1998) investing in residential rental property in Warsaw, Lodz and Katowice. The portfolio he’s built allowed him to retire in May 2009 at the age of only 43. He now spends his free time promoting the idea of financial freedom by investing in rental property. He’s authored 5 books on this subject as well as over 500 press articles and interviews. He’s made hundreds of presentations to students and business organizations all over Poland, but also in England, Ireland, Canada, Australia and Singapore. Slawek also initiated and established the only Polish landlords’ association as well as three businesses – Mzuri is Poland’s largest residential property manager with over 1800 properties under management; Mzuri Investments helped source over 450 below market value properties in the last 25 months; Mzuri CFI is a crowd fund investing platform into residential rental market. Slawek’s mission is to help as many people as possible achieve financial freedom. His hobby is travelling. Slawek visited every single country in the world (with no exception!) and many of them multiple times. He also speaks 11 languages and decided to learn a new one every year for the rest of his life. This year he started learning Mandarin.
