Born in 1977 in Zabrze. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice (graduating with honors from the Intaglio Printmaking Studio in 2003) and at the University of Silesia in Katowice (Cieszyn branch, graduating in 2002). Since 2003, he has worked at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice, where he currently heads the Studio of Literary Interpretation. In 2005, he completed his doctoral dissertation, and in 2010, his habilitation thesis. In 2021, he was awarded the title of professor of fine arts. Dean of the Faculty of Arts from 2008 to 2012, Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs from 2012 to 2020, and Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice since 2020. A visual artist working in the fields of drawing, printmaking, installation, and site-specific art. Two-time recipient of a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Author of several dozen solo exhibitions. He has participated in over 250 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Winner of numerous awards and distinctions. Curator of the 9th and 10th editions of the Polish Graphic Arts Triennial in Katowice.
