In 2027, the European Economic Congress will bring entrepreneurs and management boards of Poland’s largest companies, representatives of the Polish and foreign governments, international organisations, local authorities, academics and EU Commissioners to Katowice for the nineteenth time. The largest business event in Central Europe will once again take place at the International Congress Centre and Spodek in Katowice. The organisers have announced the date frae for the Congress: the event is planned for the week of 19-23 April 2027.
EEC 2026

Preparations have begun for the next edition of an event which, for 18 years, has served as a forum where ideas and initiatives are born that influence the direction of economic development in Poland and Europe. EEC 2027 will continue the dialogue between entrepreneurs, leaders from the public and academic sectors, and the younger generation, for whom the future of the economy means social responsibility, energy and digital transformation, as well as a new approach to sustainable development.

“European Economic Congress does not end with the final day of the event. It is a year-round project comprising accompanying events, including the EEC Trends conference, which serves as a kind of prologue to the Congress, meetings of the EEC Members community, as well as meetings of the Programme Council. Each year, the event programme is developed in consultation with participants, partners and practitioners. We listen carefully to the voices of those we work with, fully understanding and appreciating the power of dialogue. Next year’s Congress will, as always, last three days, and the exact dates will be announced later this year,” says Wojciech Kuśpik, President of PTWP, organiser and founder of the European Economic Congress.

Three days of debates on the future of the Polish, European and global economy

For years, the European Economic Congress has extended well beyond Europe, both in terms of the broad range of topics covered and the guests who come to Katowice from around the world. The number of international entrepreneurs and government representatives, including EU Commissioners, attending the Congress continues to grow year by year. The event’s speakers discuss Poland’s economic cooperation with countries around the world, including the United States, Germany, Switzerland, France, Taiwan, Slovakia, Romania and the United Arab Emirates. The Congress organisers are announcing an even stronger international presence at the April gathering.

A Congress with a strong business and substantive focus

The participant satisfaction surveys conducted by the organisers each year highlight attendees’ satisfaction with the opportunity to learn about economic developments and trends, as well as with the topics covered by the speakers. The opportunity to establish business contacts is also rated highly, while participants regard the Congress as an effective networking platform. The previous edition of the Congress attracted 20,000 participants, including 15,500 in-person attendees and more than 700 accredited journalists, resulting in record attendance. A total of 1,300 speakers – entrepreneurs, politicians, representatives of local government, academia and experts – took part in the Congress debates, while 320 partners and sponsors helped co-create the event.
