Nearly 220 sessions, 19 thematic tracks across 6 main themes — these numbers define the agenda for the 18th edition of the European Economic Congress. The EEC 2026 program will focus on key challenges facing the European and Polish economies: energy and climate transformation, resilience and security, competitiveness and sovereignty, digitalization and technological trends, the EU’s geopolitical agency, as well as human capital and quality of life.
For years, the European Economic Congress has provided an open forum for dialogue between business, public administration, academia, and civil society organizations. It serves as a space for exchanging views and experiences, bringing together company leaders, policymakers, experts, and market practitioners to jointly develop solutions for the economy in a rapidly changing environment.
The slogan of this year’s edition of the event is: Power of Dialogue. The power of dialogue is fundamental today. In the face of global tensions, transformation, and accelerating technological changes, conversations across divides are essential.
“Global shifts in power mean we must find our European and Polish path to strengthening our position. In times of uncertainty and numerous variables, we all feel the need for discussions about the economy and its future. The extensive and comprehensive congress program, which we have just publicly announced, provides a platform and space for analysis and the development of conclusions in strategically critical areas — from energy security, defense, investments, and local content, to digital challenges, civilizational changes, and the role of humans as agents of a unique economic and technological revolution,” said Wojciech Kuśpik, President of the PTWP Group, initiator and organizer of the European Economic Congress.
Year after year, the congress grows in every respect. This year, the event will once again take place in the unique spaces of the International Congress Centre and the iconic Spodek in Katowice. This edition will further emphasize the international character of the event, with organizers expecting guests from around the world and from a wide range of industries.
