Alojzy Z. Nowak

Rector of the University of Warsaw. Professor of economics, graduate at the Warsaw School of Economics SGH. He studied economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, banking, finance and insurance at the University of Exeter, UK, international economics at the Free University of Berlin and international economics at RUCA (Antwerp). Former Dean of the Faculty of Management, Vice-Rector of the University of Warsaw for Research and Liaison and Director of the Centre for Europe. Author and co-author of over 250 papers and books published both in Poland and abroad. Member of many supervisory boards in national and international companies. As of 2018, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak chairs the Academic Sports Association
In December 2018 together with 22 eminent economists from around the world (which included 4 Nobel Prize winners), Professor Nowak became a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute for New Structural Economics at Peking University.
