Jakub Karnowski is a graduate of the Main School of Commerce in Warsaw and the MBA (Master of Business Administration) program at the Carlson School of Management and the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota (USA).
He was a member of the Executive Directors' Board at the World Bank Group. He chaired the Board of the investment fund PKO TFI S.A., the Polish State Railways PKP Polskie Koleje Panstwowe S.A., and the private investment group Luma Investment S.A. He was an independent member of the supervisory board at HSBC Bank Polska.
Jakub Karnowski is a recipient of The Margaret Thatcher Foundation scholarship. He holds a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) license. He was the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrposhta and an independent member of the Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia. He took the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC KredoBank on August 19th, 2024 & was elected by the supervisory board to the position of CEO on February 21st, 2025, based on the approval received from the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine. He assumed the position on March 1st, 2025.
