Dr. James Yang holds a bachelor’s degree from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan and a master’s degree from the University of Southern California (USC). He later earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from New York University (NYU).

After founding MICROIP, Dr. Yang demonstrated exceptional technological foresight by pioneering the industry’s first cloud-based collaborative chip design platform and global design service outsourcing platform.
He also serves as Chairman of the parent company, Arculus System, where he integrates the group’s Electronic Design Automation (EDA) capabilities. Under his leadership, the group launched industry-first solutions, including the Architecture Compiler (MAC) and Performance Analyzer (iProfiler)—establishing a solid foundation in advanced chip architecture design and performance optimization.
