Jana Pieriegud
professor SGH, Department of Infrastructure and Mobility Studies, SGH Warsaw School of Economics
She is a transport economist with a background in railway engineering, economics, and management, and over 25 years of experience in R&D, market analysis, and strategic advisory for business and public administration. She is a Professor at the Institute of Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and a head of the postgraduate programmes ’Rail Transport Manager’ and ‘Management and Financing in the Air Transport Sector’.
She is an independent expert in transport, infrastructure, logistics, mobility, and digitalisation. She collaborates with institutions and executive agencies for research and innovation in Poland and abroad, including the European Commission’s agencies REA and CINEA. She is the editor and co-author of the monograph ‘Poland’s Transport System: 20 Years in the European Union’ (SGH Publishing House, 2025), and the author of publications and reports on rail and intermodal transport as well as the digital transformation of railways.
She is passionate about personal development, books, travel, nature, freediving, and photography. She is a Polish champion and national record holder in pool freediving (masters category).
