PhD habilitation in engineering and technical sciences in the field of environmental engineering. He specializes in water resources management, including open-channel hydraulics, river morphology, flood protection, and ecohydraulics.
His professional experience includes projects related to river restoration, modeling flood wave propagation, monitoring fish passages, and sustainable water management in protected areas.
Member of the Committee on Environmental Engineering (since 2020) and the Committee on Water Sciences and Water Management (since 2011) of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Committee for the Protection and Development of Aquatic Living Resources at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and professional associations; the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering, the Association of Polish Hydrologists, and SITWiM.
Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy at the University of Agriculture in Krakow (since 2020).
