Specializes in public diplomacy and the culture, art, and architecture of Central Europe. He is Director of the Silesian Museum in Katowice and served as Program Director of the International Cultural Centre in Kraków (2018–2025).
He is the author and co-author of numerous publications, including ‘Socmodernism: Architecture in Central Europe during the Cold War’ (Kraków 2024); ‘Imagined Capitals. Habsburg Cities as National Centres 1815–1918’ (Kraków 2026). and co-curator of exhibitions on Central European art, among them ‘One Eye Laughing, the Other Crying. Art From Romania in the Ovidiu Șandor Collection’ (2025).
He is a member of the Programme Council of the Polish-Czech Forum at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland and co-founder of DILEMMA. The Mobile Academy of Dialogue, an initiative bringing together intellectuals and artists from Central Europe, the Balkans, and the Caucasus. He also serves on the European Network of Urban History Museums.
