Maria Wojtacha

Director of the Municipal Services Department at the City of Kraków since 2025. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences with a specialization in management from the Jagiellonian University’s Faculty of Management and Social Communication.
She was employed at the Jagiellonian University – Collegium Medicum for over 9 years, and subsequently at the Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Province, including, since April 2018, as Director of the Department of Strategic Investments.
She has over 18 years of professional experience in management, including more than 14 years in public administration. She also has over 16 years of experience in managing non-governmental organizations and collaborating with foreign humanitarian organizations.
She is a recipient of a Santander Bank scholarship to participate in the “W30 – Developing Women Leaders in University Faculty and Administration” program at the University of California (UCLA), as well as a scholarship from the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw and the Vital Voices Foundation to participate in the “Mentoring & Innovation Leadership Program for Polish Women Entrepreneurs.” In 2020–2021, she completed the Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) at the Center for Leadership (CL) and the School of Leaders at the Polish-American Freedom Foundation (PAFW). In 2024, she participated in the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitors Leadership Program on the development of migration policies. In addition, from 2009 to 2019, she served as a board member of the Foundation for the Development of Polish Municipalities, as well as its founder and benefactor, and from 2019 to 2025, she served as director of the Internationaler Bund Polska Foundation.
