Michał Lorbiecki
Position: Urban Planner, Chorzów
Urbanist, PhD in Economics and Finance, MBA, sustainability expert, and certified change manager. Currently, the Plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Chorzów – City Urbanist and Director of the Spatial Planning and Construction Department. Vice-Chairman of the Real Estate Committee at the Polish Chamber of Commerce.
Previously, as the Plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Tychy, he authored the masterplan and coordinated the strategic development of the city's new city center. Co-author of key municipal policies in the areas of development strategy and mobility.
He actively bridges professional practice with academia. Lecturer and co-creator of postgraduate studies at the Warsaw University of Technology, and a member of the Program Council for Spatial Management at the University of Economics in Katowice. He serves on municipal urban planning and architectural commissions. He popularizes knowledge about cities, public space, and mobility on social media as @urbanomista.
