Mirosław Proppé has been the CEO of WWF Poland since mid-2018. He is responsible for the strategic development of the country’s largest environmental NGO, with annual budget of around 10 m EUR, employing around 100 professionals and working with nearly 400 volunteers. He has led the organization through a comprehensive professionalization process, including the digitalization of internal processes, improvements in the management of conservation projects, and the introduction of a feedback culture grounded in WWF’s core values of courage, collaboration, integrity, and respect.

He regularly participates in economic debates and business conferences, where he emphasizes the importance of the energy transition and the dependency of businesses from environmental services. He initiated cross-sector collaboration among NGOs, public administration, academia, and the private sector, aimed at developing strategies for the decarbonization of the Polish economy in key sectors.
He is a guest lecturer in postgraduate programs at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw and at Lazarski University. He is a member of the supervisory boards of the APOPO vzw and Euvic

Solutions Sp. z o.o. Between 2022 and 2025, he chaired the Steering Committee of the WWF Baltic Sea Programme, and from 2020 to 2023 he served as Vice-Chair of the Supervisory Board of the WWF European Policy Office in Brussels. He was a mentor in programs run by BCG and WWF International.
Before joining WWF Poland, he spent many years at KPMG, where from 2008 he served as a partner and Head of the Advisory Team for Public Sector and Infrastructure in Central and Eastern Europe. During that time, he led projects in areas including energy, flood protection, urban revitalization, and digital transformation.

He graduated from the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw and completed the Executive Master of Public Administration program at the University of Washington.
