Patrick Reid
Engineering Director for Safety and Licensing, Candu Energy Inc, an AtkinsRéalis company
Is responsible for the Safety and Licensing scope for the CANDU MONARK standard plant design program, including fuel design, physics, radiation protection, deterministic safety analysis, probabilistic safety analysis and licensing work for AtkinsRéalis. The CANDU MONARK standard plant design is the new 480-channel CANDU design being developed for GW-scale deployment in Canada.
He’s been in nuclear sector for almost 40 years, in which he has demonstrated his ability to manage across a broad range of technical disciplines in teams ranging in size from 2 to 200. Patrick focused on fuel and fuel channel design and safety analysis as well as licensing.
Mr. Reid holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
