Paweł Borys
Paweł Borys is a manager with 24 years of professional experience in Polish and international financial institutions. He has worked at Erste Bank, Deutsche Bank, AKJ Investment TFI, PKO Bank Polski, and PFR (Polish Development Fund). He specializes in investments, strategy development, financial services, new technologies, and reorganizations and integrations. He has managed public market funds and executed strategic M&A transactions and private equity investments worth over PLN 20 billion. He has extensive corporate experience in organizational management and has served on more than 20 supervisory boards, including those of 3 banks and 2 investment fund companies (TFIs).
He has led or participated in projects including the transformation of PKO Bank Polski, the restructuring and new strategy of Kredobank in Ukraine, the creation of a joint venture between eService and EVO Payments International, the establishment of BLIK, the creation of the PFR Group and the transformation of Polish development institutions, the design of the Employee Capital Plans (PPK) program, the execution of the PFR Financial Shield during the pandemic, the development of the region's largest PE/VC fund investment platform at PFR Ventures, and the establishment of the National Cloud in partnership with Google and Microsoft as well as the Central House of Technology.
He combines his professional career with a keen interest in economics. He serves as Chairman of the Council of the Polish Economic Institute.
He has been honored with numerous awards, including "Person of the 30th Anniversary" at the Economic Forum in Karpacz, "Finance Visionary" at the Banking & Insurance Forum, "Personality of the Year" by SuperBiznes, "Digital Shapers" by the Digital Poland Foundation, and "Bulls and Bears" by Gazeta Giełdy Parkiet.
