Paweł Wojciechowski
President of the Management Board, Institute of Public Finance, Minister of Finance in 2006
Is an economist with experience in public finance, international institutions and the financial sector. In 2006–2020, he held public positions, including Minister of Finance, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, President of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, Ambassador to the OECD, and Chief Economist of the Social Insurance Institution.
Earlier, he was in the financial sector as CEO of PTE Allianz Polska, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of TFI ATUT, and Director of the Fund Management Division at the Polish Development Bank. In 1992–1995, he led technical assistance teams supporting Poland’s economic transformation, financed by UNDP and USAID.
He combined professional work with academic activities, lecturing at Harvard Kennedy School, John Carroll University, Kozminski University; until recently, he was a professor at WPSW in Warsaw. While leading IFP, he serves as EU coordinator for major transport investments within the TEN-T network.
