dr hab. Piotr Bednarek, prof. UEW – Professor at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business and, since 2024, Vice‑Rector for Finance. He specializes in internal auditing, management control, and the use of artificial intelligence and process automation in auditing. He is the author of two monographs and more than 45 scientific publications in national and international journals, as well as a co‑author of the book Human versus Machine.
An experienced lecturer and trainer, he has taught in Poland and abroad, including within Erasmus+ programmes. He heads the postgraduate programme “AI and Technologies in Internal Audit and Control,” combining an academic perspective with advisory practice for public institutions and private companies.
He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the European Accounting Association, and the Management Control Association. His work focuses on improving audit quality, the effectiveness of control systems, and the application of modern technologies in organizational management.
