Renata Mroczek

She holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Łódź and completed postgraduate studies in European Funds at the same university. She also completed postgraduate studies in management at the Poznań University of Economics.
She has been with URE since April 2017, initially serving as Director of the Central-Western Regional Office in Łódź – the largest field unit covering the Mazowieckie and Łódzkie Voivodeships. In October 2024, following an open competition, she was appointed Vice President of URE.
Her appointment as President of URE by the Prime Minister on 11 August 2025 followed an open and competitive recruitment process. She is the first woman to serve as the Polish Regulator of energy and fuel markets. As the initiator of numerous activities to develop the energy sector and a promoter of collaboration across traditional divides, she launched the Cross-Sectoral Accelerator for the Development of the Polish Energy Sector. She is a winner of the Women’s Energy Award in the Development Energy category. She has been implementing numerous digitalisation initiatives within the organisation. In working with people, she is committed to dialogue, partnership-building and the power of relationships.
