Vadym Tabakera is the Director of the Department of Economic Policy of the Lviv Regional State Administration (Ukraine). He has over 13 years of experience in public administration, with a focus on strategic planning, regional development, and economic policy implementation.
He has held senior positions at regional and district state administrations and has been actively involved in decentralization reforms and territorial governance transformation. He also worked with international technical assistance programmes, including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U-LEAD with Europe Programme, contributing to strengthening local governance and regional development capacities.
Currently, he is responsible for shaping and implementing regional economic policy, investment attraction, and business development in Lviv Region. His work also focuses on just transition approaches, particularly in the transformation of coal territories the development of the Lviv agglomeration.
