CONGRESS
On April 22-24, 2026, Katowice will once again host one of Europe’s top debates on geopolitics and the future of the economy. The 18th European Economic Congress will attract prominent public figures, business leaders and top researchers. For three days, they will gather in Katowice to discuss the changing geopolitical landscape, answer key questions on the agency of Europe, the resilience of its economies, the pace of energy transition and the progress on the development of technologies that are capable of transforming the world. The sovereignty of industry, investments in green energy, digital security and competences of the future – all determining the position of Poland and entire European Union in the world – will top the agenda of next year’s edition of the event.
CONGRESS
Poland and Europe are facing numerous strategic challenges in the field of security, independence, defence, and competitiveness. The problems they need to solve involve key sectors of their economy – power, defence, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and industry. In order to achieve that, they need to promote a culture of constant cooperation between business, public administration, and decision-makers. With geopolitical instability in the background, it is critical to engage in dialogue about delivering stable growth based on long-term, strategic public investments. Once again, EEC Trends will provide a platform for this much-needed dialogue. Its participants will also discuss the significance of Poland’s admission to G20 and the opportunity it brings for the country's economy. The event, providing a prologue to the European Economic Congress – Central Europe's major business event – takes place on 9th February, 2026, at the Sheraton Grand Warsaw hotel. The 18th edition of the event will be held on 22-24 April, 2026, in the International Congress Centre in Katowice.
One of the most highly rated aspects of participation in the European Economic Congress is the opportunity to make useful business contacts. The European Economic Congress is an ideal place for networking, talks and meetings, but also a series of accompanying events - ceremonial galas, evening banquets and concerts.
Honours will be awarded to the most interesting solutions submitted in one of the five industry categories of the competition for an innovative product, technology, business model or optimised existing process. The winners of their categories will be awarded the title ‘Startup Challenge Winner’
The TOP Municipal Investments competition, aims to indicate the scale of municipal investments and their pro-development effect on the economy, the region and the inhabitants. The Investor without Borders competition, is an annual undertaking of the economic portal WNP.PL and the magazine Nowy Przemysł. As every year, the winners of the competition will be a narrow, elite group of companies: foreign investors in Poland and Polish companies investing on foreign markets.
