Christoph Kuhn

Christoph Kuhn is Director of the EIB’s Mandate Management Department. He oversees all EIB mandate activities that in total support approximately one fourth of EIB’s lending business. He holds inter alia responsibility for the mandate implementation of the European Fund for Strategic Investment (“Juncker Plan”) as well as for the Bank’s External Lending Mandate outside the EU. 

Christoph has been with EIB for more than 11 years. Before his current assignment, he has also been responsible for EIB’s activities in the field of Innovation Finance and associated new product developments. Christoph holds the main responsibility for the design and implementation of InnovFin, the Bank’s largest joint financial instrument with the European Commission to support innovative companies across Europe with access to risk finance.

Christoph has extensive professional experience in corporate and investment-banking in different European countries and various financial institutions. He holds two Master degrees in Business Administration and Finance from E.M. Lyon and Cranfield University.
