Jerzy Pilch

Born in Brenna, Mr. Jerzy Pilch has been involved with local government since 1990. Step by step, he carries out the plan to turn Brenna into a unique place, attractive to residents, tourists and investors.

Mr. Jerzy Pilch graduated from AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow (master's degree in metallurgical engineering). Between 1986 and 1995, he worked at the Foundry Plant in Skoczów (consecutively as a: technologist, foreman, manager). In 1995, he joined the editorial team of the Głos Ziemi Cieszyńskiej weekly (part of Prasa Beskidzka), where he was responsible for handling enterprises. In 2005, he took the position of Advertising and Marketing Director at Prasa Beskidzka.

In the first free local elections in 1990, he was elected to the Brenna Municipality Council. Between 1999 and 2006, Mr. Jerzy Pilch represented Brenna as a county councillor for two terms. In the next term (2006 - 2010), he was Vice-Chairman of the Cieszyn County Council, and from 2010 to 2014, he served as Deputy Governor of the Cieszyn County Board.

Mr. Jerzy Pilch contested the municipal elections of 2014 in the first round and was elected Mayor of Brenna.

For nearly 30 years, he has been a happy husband and father of two children, also graduates of Cracow universities.
