Position: Head of Sales

Tom Ross is the Head of Sales for Hitachi ICSE who provide simulation, control and traffic management solutions to the railways. With over 17 years delivering simulators, Hitachi ICSE’s products form an essential part of Network Rail’s operational infrastructure, enabling safe and efficient performance via the TREsim training simulator and TREsa Automated Route Setting systems.

Simulation of infrastructure and operations also enables major project schemes to be evaluated before implementation, reducing technical and programme risk. Operational readiness for new technology deployment, such as Hitachi ICSEs’ Automatic Route Setting and Traffic Management Systems, has also been demonstrated. 

An installation of Traffic Management for London Thameslink was awarded to Hitachi Rail Europe with Hitachi ICSE, the systems integrator for the delivery.

Tom has 12 years of experience working in the rail sector with a wide knowledge of the international market.  Previous experience was in ICT working including Compaq, HP, Oracle, and IBM.
