The principal idea of the project is to promote model relations between investors, the administration and the market. Winners of the first edition, which was held last year, included entities already well-established and famous in the Polish and global economies. Five winners will be selected from among foreign investors who have provided a strong stimulus to Polish economic growth and have built a broad network of cooperation. The other five are Polish investors who have implemented effective strategies of foreign expansion and invested in foreign, often remote, markets. The ten laureates will be announced during a festive gala held at the end of the first day of the Congress.

The 7th edition of the contest will select ten of the best projects implemented by local governments in Poland. The winners will be announced during the 10th European Economic Congress.
They will feature bold, carefully thought-out and expertly conducted projects that promote regional development. The goal of the new edition of the Top Communal Investments is to draw attention to the best investment practices and recognise those who have made it in the field.
This year, the organizers will focus their attention on projects linked to the idea of the smart city and air quality improvement.

The evening gala will host the finals of the Start-up Challenge, a competition designed to select the best start-ups in one of the six industry categories for the best innovative projects, technologies, business models and optimized processes. Winners will receive the title of "Start-up Challenge Winner”.
The competition is an opportunity for start-ups to present the most interesting, innovative solutions. It creates an opportunity for young, promising entrepreneurs to attract investors and cooperate with large corporations, comprehensively develop their ideas and promote them before an audience of several thousand at the largest business conference in Central Europe.

GUIDED TOUR OF THE HISTORIC SILVER MINE IN TARNOWSKIE GÓRY

The Historic Silver Mine in Tarnowskie Góry was the first site in the Silesian Voivodeship to be entered onto the UNESCO World Heritage List. Participants of the tour will get a chance to walk along an underground tourist trail and take a boat across the historic drainage gallery of the mine.

Tour schedule:
16.00 – departure of the eco-coach from the International Conference Centre in Katowice to the Historic Silver Mine in Tarnowskie Góry
17.00-18.30 – tour of the mine
19.00 – return to the International Conference Centre in Katowice
