President of the Board of Association Kalisz-Ostrów Agglomeration and chairman of the Assembly of Association of Municipalities “Czyste Miasto. Czysta Gmina”.
He is connected with council since 2006 as councillor, vice president and next, president of City Council.
He has been Mayor of Kalisz City since 5 December 2014.
His priorities are: cooperation with neighbours within the confines of Kalisz-Ostrów Agglomeration, openness and social participation. His aims are to develop vocational education and housing. He pays attention to balanced transport policy and strives to build a bypass around the city. He is making a whole lot of building investments.
Regarding his activities up to now, Grzegorz Sapiński has been honoured twice by journal ”Gazeta Prawna” in its ranking ”Perły Samorządu”.
