Professor, PhD, president of Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), professor at Warsaw University and the Institute of Labour and Social Studies, Chair of Committee for Labour and Social Policy of the Polish Academy of Sciences, member of the Social Affairs Council (within the National Development Council) to the President of the Republic of Poland, member of the Bureau of the International Social Security Association, as well as the chair of the Technical Commission on Old-Age, Invalidity and Survivors’ Insurance of that institution, expert in research programs of universities and institutes from EU Member States (University of Antwerp, Ghent University, Max Planck Institute) in connection to the implementation of EU programs (Consensus, Special, LAW, trESS, FreSsco, MoveS), head and expert in Polish and international projects, author of many publications in the field of social policy, social security, social insurance, and European law
