Member of the European Parliament, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Energy of Poland 2015–2019
Highly valued economic expert. Speaker at Polish and international economic conferences. Member of the European Parliament - member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy. Substitute member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and Committee on Budgets. Member of Polish Sejm from 2005 to 2019. He served as Secretary of State at Ministry of Energy from 2015 to 2019. Since 2016 he also served as Government Representative for the Restructuring of Hard Coal Mining.
Acknowledged as the Man of the Year by the Polish mining industry in 2017 and as the Personality of the Year by the wind energy sector in 2018. In the European Parliament, he focuses on issues related to climate and energy policy, EU industrial strategy, energy security and just transition.
