Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka
Government Plenipotentiary for the European Security Instrument
Is a graduate of World Economy at the Poznań University of Economics and Business, diplomacy at Collegium Civitas, and doctoral studies at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. She completed a Reuters journalism course in London and leadership programs including the Leadership Academy for Poland. She was recognized by the German Marshall Fund as one of Europe's future leaders.
Her career includes roles as a Brussels correspondent for TVP, a reporter for Polsat, and an expert at the European Commission (economy, defense, and space policy). She is the founder of the "Women in the Center" association and a member of the Program Board of the Economic Forum in Karpacz.
In 2019–2023, she led Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz’s advisory team and presidential campaign. In January 2024, she was appointed Undersecretary of State for EU Affairs, and in October 2025, Government Plenipotentiary for the European Security and Development Instrument (SAFE).
