Piotr Gałecki

Prof. Piotr Gałecki, MD, PhD (habilitation) – a specialist in psychiatry and sexology, an academic teacher affiliated with the Medical University of Łódź. He heads the Department of Adult Psychiatry at the university. He serves as the National Consultant in Psychiatry. He is the Chair of the Council for Mental Health. He is involved in teaching, including as a lecturer at the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution.
He chairs the State Examination Board in psychiatry and psychosexology and is also active within the scientific structures of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is the author of many textbooks and publications, including international ones. In his clinical and research work, he focuses, among other things, on the biological determinants of mental disorders and on the diagnosis and treatment of affective disorders
