Sebastian Majewski
Clinical Department of Pneumology, Medical University of Lodz, Member of the Main Board, Chairman of the Łódź Branch, Polish Respiratory Society
Specialist in pulmonology and internal medicine, a researcher, and an academic teacher affiliated with the Medical University of Lodz. He is a graduate of the Medical University of Lodz and completed postgraduate studies at Harvard Medical School in Boston. He works at the Department of Pneumology of the Medical University of Lodz as a university professor, combining clinical practice with research and teaching activities.
He is actively involved in the professional community focused on respiratory diseases. He serves as a member of the Main Board of the Polish Respiratory Society (PRS), the president of the Lodz regional branch of PRS, and is also a member of the European Respiratory Society. He holds the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Respiratory Medicine, the official journal of PRS.
Professor Majewski for many years has been caring for patients with interstitial lung diseases, actively contributing to efforts aimed at improving diagnostics, increasing disease recognition, and expanding access to modern therapies offered within drug programs reimbursed by the National Health Fund. Prof. Majewski’s scientific output includes numerous publications in national and international journals, as well as authorship of book chapters in medical textbooks devoted to respiratory diseases. He is a regular speaker at conferences in Poland and abroad. He has been twice honored by Polish- and English-speaking students of the Medical University of Lodz with the title of “Best Academic Teacher.”
