Lucyna Stanczak-Wuczynska has 30 years experience in financial and infrastructure industries, starting her career as a commercial banker.

Lucyna is currently a Chair of BNP Paribas Bank in Poland and the member of the Supervisory Board of Erste Bank, Hungary. She is a Senior Adviser to Actis Emerging Market Infrastructure and she advises Pollen Street Capital, a London based private equity fund. During her professional career Lucyna held numerous non-executive and advisory positions in banks, infrastructure companies, private equities and governments.

For the last 21 year Lucyna has been working for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as Country Director for Poland (2008-2014) and then as the Regional FI Director for CEE and SEE regions (2014-2020) managing the portfolio of over 4bln EUR. Her major focus was investing (in debt and equity) in the CEESEE region, portfolio management and value creation. Lucyna was also engaged in policy dialogue with local and regional stakeholders, EU institutions, structural reforms, including banking sector regulations, capital market development, privatisations and listing, energy transformation. Prior to that, Lucyna was an infrastructure banker. Before joining the EBRD Lucyna worked with ABN Amro Bank and Credit Lyonnaise in Poland.

In her professional career Lucyna was particularly focusing on suitability and climate. At present she chairs the advisory committee of Chapter Zero Poland, the climate corporate governance initiative under the auspices of the World Economic Forum.

Lucyna Stanczak-Wuczynska has a master’s degree in Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics and completed advanced post graduate European studies in Economics in the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.
