European Economic Congress

Preparations for another edition of Central Europe’s largest business conference are underway. A result of consultations, debates and conversations, an extensive and diversified agenda of the event covers a wide spectrum of critical and topical socio-economic matters.

Save the date of the April conference today and join us in its development.

The European Economic Congress is changing to address the needs of its audience and face the new challenges of everyday economic reality. What is not changing is the the fact that for 16 years since its establishment, it has provided a broad and open forum for debate about the future of Polish and European economies.

Each edition of the EEC is preceded by a campaign led by representatives of numerous societies, persons of unique talents, as well as leaders in their field. Launching yet another such campaign in order to develop an agenda that will address the challenges of today’s complex and harsh reality, we are inviting you to a discussion on what items should be included in an agenda of the largest business event in this part of Europe.

In 2024, we have seen unstable economies, with political turmoil affecting the global economic outlook, investments, and strategies of companies. The trend will most likely continue well into 2025.

Therefore, subjects related to economic and political security will prove acutely important. The competitiveness of the economy, casting new light on matters concerning the energy and economic transition, limiting carbon footprint and sustainable production – still present in the mainstream of European debate – will be amongst priorities of Europe and the Polish presidency.

Transitions of the European economy and efforts aimed at increasing security will be to no avail, if we do not use digital tools. Questions about trends and groundbreaking technologies, safe adaptation to the digital world, or cyber threats will be asked during debates devoted to various aspects of digitalisation.

An ongoing internationalisation of the Congress will serve as an answer to the challenges presented by profound change, dynamic transition, volatility and the new face of globalisation. The potential of unexplored and remote markets, new models of economic cooperation, the investment allure of Poland, and Europe in search of new routes and advantages – all that increases the popularity of the Congress among business people and politicians from outside of the continent.

Right now, we are just outlining key directions of the incoming debate. They will be elaborated on and made more specific in February, at EEC Trends. Until then, we welcome all opinion and voices of those to wish to join us in creating the programme of the next edition of the European Economic Congress.

We count on your involvement, creativity, sensibility and spirit.
