SESSION CONDUCTED IN ENGLISH
The Russian aggression against Ukraine has had important economic and financial consequences, especially in three areas: energy, trade and finance. Further repercussions will depend on the sanctions introduced today and in the future. We will discuss the western community’s approach towards the war between Ukraine and Russia. We will present the diplomatic and economic instruments used by the US and EU. We will outline the NATO’s policy of strengthening the European safety and minimising the threat from Russia.
