Janusz Kubicki (b. December 31, 1969 in Szprotawa), he graduated in management and marketing at the Higher School of Engineering in Zielona Góra (currently the University of Zielona Góra). In the years 1995-1996 deputy head of the Computer Center in Agora Gazeta Spółka z o.o. in the branch in Zielona Góra. In 1995, an IT specialist at the WUP in Zielona Góra. In 1996-1999 a sales representative and regional sales manager at Okocimskie Zakłady Piwowarskie SA in Brzesko. In the years 1999-2003 he was a marketing specialist and deputy head of the marketing department for the PH network in the Lubuska Wytwórnia Wódek Gatunkowych "Polmos". In the years 2003-2006 he was the director of the Department of Health Care of the Ministry of Interior and Administration in Zielona Góra.

In the second round of the local government elections in 2006, as the LiD candidate, applying for the post of president of Zielona Góra, he obtained 53.09% of the votes and defeated the PO deputy Bożenna Bukiewicz. In 2010, he was reelected in the first round of elections. In January 2012 he officially resigned from membership in the SLD. Then he undertook political cooperation with the PO, successfully running for the lubuskie regional council in 2014. He resigned, however, remaining at the office of the city president, because his term of office was extended due to the postponement of the elections in Zielona Góra. This was the result of joining the area of Zielona Góra commune to the city. In the elections for the office of the mayor of the city, carried out on March 15, 2015, he won in the first round with the result of 68.26% support among the voters, running from his committee with simultaneous support of the PO.

He counts his greatest achievements connection of the Zielona Góra city with the commune Zielona Góra, construction of a Recreation and Sports Center - CRS, creation of an Industrial and Technological Park - LPPT, which is to be the flywheel of the economic development of the city; improving road infrastructure and declining unemployment.

Janusz Kubicki is married, has two sons: Wojciech and Piotr. He considers himself a workaholic, but if he finds a moment of free time, he does sport - he likes to play tennis and go skiing.
