Michał Piekarski

Heads the Energy Practice Group at Baker McKenzie Warsaw office. He has broad energy sector experience gained as a lawyer working in international law firms and as a legal advisor to one of the largest Polish private energy groups. He specialises in providing comprehensive legal advice to companies from the energy sector, including in particular regulatory issues and transactions.

For over 10 years he has been involved in activities promoting development of offshore wind projects in Poland, including, among others, legislation works and supporting investors in their offshore wind business development and acquisitions. He also actively advises clients on hydrogen and nuclear power development projects. Michal is a ranked lawyer by both Legal 500 EMEA and Chambers in Energy & Natural Resources – Poland, with particular reference to renewables and offshore wind energy.
