Secretary of State, Government Plenipotentiary for Combating Mobility Exclusion, Ministry of Infrastructure, Poland

Andrzej Bittel graduated from the low at the University of Warsaw. He also completed postgraduate studies in management in public administration at the Wyższa Szkoła Przedsiębiorczości i Zarządzania im. Leon Koźmiński and Postgraduate Studies in European Local Government Law at the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2006, he was the mayor of the Wawer district of the Capital City of Warsaw. In the years 2007-2010 he worked in the Central Anticorruption Bureau. Again in the local government in 2010-2013, when he was the deputy mayor of the Ursynów district, and then from 2013 to 2014 he was the deputy mayor of the Targówek district in Warsaw. During this period, he supervised the work of the departments of infrastructure, investments, housing resources and public procurement. He was also an advisor to the Pruszków district governor on investment processes. From 2015, he was head of the Department of Infrastructure and Environmental Protection in the District Authority Office in Pruszków.

Since September 2016, he has been the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure, responsible for rail transport and the implementation of railway investments.
