Vice-Rector for Development and Technology Transfer, Medical University of Silesia
Specialist in eye diseases, the Vice-Rector of the Medical University of Silesia, and the Head of the Chair and Clinical Department of Ophthalmology at the Railway Hospital in Katowice. He completed internships at renowned ophthalmic clinics abroad. He has authored over 555 scientific papers, conducts teaching activities, and has supervised 27 doctoral dissertations. He is a member of numerous scientific societies both in Poland and abroad and has received many awards, including the Knight's Cross and Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. He is renowned as a pioneer in diagnostic and therapeutic methods in ophthalmology, and his achievements in the field of eye microsurgery have been honored with an award from the Minister of Health of Poland.
