Krzysztof Szubert

Chief Information Officer, PKO TFI Member of the UN High-Level Council for Digital Cooperation (IGF)

A graduate from the Faculty of Industrial Organisation and Management, Warsaw University of Technology, and Executive MBA studies. From 2017 to 2020, a Visiting Fellow of the University of Oxford.

 

A manager with almost 30 years of experience. A Polish entrepreneur, investor and strategic consultant. Krzysztof Szubert has acquired experience both as a CEO at private-owned companies and as a Secretary of State at the Ministry of Digitalisation with responsibility for international affairs or a Government’s Plenipotentiary in central level administration. Since the beginning of his career, he has been active in the sector of advanced digital technology and entrepreneurship support initiatives. Since 2021, the Minister of Digital Affairs at the Business Centre Club’s Economic Shadow Cabinet. In 2015, he was awarded the “Polish ICT – Man of the Year” prize by the Burda-Magazine / CRN. In November 2017, he was named one of the 100 most influential individuals in the innovation area in Central & Eastern Europe (the New Europe 100 list). In the years 2017-2019, a member of the Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) to the UN Secretary-General. A Senior Advisor at FIPRA International, Brussels. In December 2019 he was awarded the title of “The Honorary Ambassador of the Polish Economy”. Since 2018, a Member of the Council of the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR). Since August 2022, a Member of the UN’s High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation (IGF). Knight of the Order of Polonia Restituta. From January 2020 to September 2022, the CEO at NCBR Investment Fund ASI S.A., a co‑investment fund.

 

Appointed the Vice President of the Managing Board of PKO TFI with effect from 17 October 2022.    

 

At PKO TFI, he is particularly involved in the areas of innovation, digitalisation and efficiency of processes and directions of strategic development of digital transformation, with special focus on technology and financial services (FinTech).
