Prof. Marek Gzik, PhD, an engineer, a professor of technical sciences, and a specialist in biomedical engineering. From 2012 to 2020 dean of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, which is the only faculty of this name in Poland. From 2014 to 2016, he was a Rector's representative for Cooperation with Industry within the Rector's College. In 2023, he completed Master of Business Administration (MBA). In 2021, he initiated the establishment of the Society for HealthTech Innovations and was elected the president of it. Throughout his career, he has shown an interest in entrepreneurship and business-like initiatives. He has received numerous awards for his scientific, organisational, teaching and local government activities.
