Climate neutrality and the independence of economic growth from natural resources are two major goals mentioned in the European Green Deal, a strategy for the EU to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The EU action plan involves major transformation in areas such as food, energy, transport, industry, construction and ecosystems. Ways to achieve climate neutrality – what is the European Green Deal about? How can reducing imports of Russian fossil fuels contribute to the green transformation?
