- Member of the Polish Society of Computer Methods in Mechanics since 1993,

- In the period 2011-2015, Chairman of the Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics

 - Member of the Steering Committee of EuroScience Open Forum 2024,

- Doctor Honoris Causa of Lviv University of Technology and Gheorghe Asachi Technical University,

- Awarded the Silver Cross of Merit and the Gold Medal and the Bronze Medal of the Minister of National Defence for services to the country's defence,

- The winner of the Gold Medal of Honor "For Merit for the Silesian Voivodeship",

- The winner of "Gliwicjusz" and "Zabrze Athena",
