President, Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce
Runs business under the name Jacek Piechota Solution Partners. Specializes in consulting for companies operating on eastern markets.
Previously - Minister of Economy and Minister of Economy and Labor in the governments of Leszek Miller and Marek Belka, among others he led pre-accession negotiations with the European Commission, negotiated offset conditions, created conditions for the functioning of special economic zones, co-created rescue programs for enterprises, implemented a system of incentives for locating foreign investments in Poland.
As a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland in the years 1985-2007 he headed, among others, the following committees: Entrepreneurship Development and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.
Since 2007 he has been the President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, the oldest organization of entrepreneurs in both countries. Since 2012, he has been the president of the Europe – North – East Association – the organizer of the Baltic Business Forum congress, devoted to cooperation in the ABC region – Adriatic, Baltic, Black Sea.
