Jerzy Polaczek

Member of the Polish Parliament, Deputy President, Infrastructure Committee

Jerzy Polaczek – member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland since 1997, a lawyer by education.
Jerzy Polaczek was born on the 24th of August, 1961 in Piekary Śląskie. He has a solid legal education - he is a master of law and a legal advisor. This is the basis that allows him to professionally and effectively work in the Sejm for the residents of Silesia and Poland, where, among others, has the longest, uninterrupted tenure in the Parliamentary Infrastructure Committee - since 2000.
In the years 2005–2007, he was the Minister of Transport in the governments of Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz and Jarosław Kaczyński. He was awarded and decorated for his work, including: received the Silver Cross of Merit.
He has always been associated with the conservative political trend, being one of the leading creators of the Polish right. His work focuses on topics related to infrastructure, administration, internal affairs, and education. Recently, he has also been focusing on public health issues.
